Expand Your Vocabulary Challenge (30 Days) Rules

These rules exist to keep the challenge fair, measurable, and enforceable. Participation requires daily proof. No backfills. No loopholes.

1) Overview

The goal is to strengthen vocabulary, comprehension, and real-world communication through consistent, daily effort. The challenge measures completion through required written submissions in the MWYMI portal.

Core principle: This is a skill-based discipline challenge. Outcomes depend on participant effort.

2) Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to participate.
  • You must provide accurate registration information and maintain access to the challenge portal.
  • Participation may be void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3) Daily Requirements

Each day, you must complete all requirements below to earn credit for that day:

  • Learn 5–10 new English words (no repeats).
  • For each word, submit:
    • A short paraphrased definition in your own words (not copy-pasted).
    • One original sentence demonstrating correct use and understanding.
  • Submit entries in the portal on the same calendar day.
No backfills. Late submissions do not count, including “I did it but forgot to log it.”

4) Proof Standards

  • Submissions must be meaningful and demonstrate actual understanding.
  • Low-effort, copied, nonsensical, or spam entries may be rejected.
  • MWYMI may review submissions to protect fairness and challenge integrity.
What gets rejected? ⌄
Examples: copy-paste dictionary definitions; generic sentences that don’t reflect the word meaning; repeating the same sentence structure; obviously fabricated entries; duplicate words; or any pattern suggesting manipulation rather than learning.

5) Completion Threshold

  • You must complete at least 26 of 30 days to pass.
  • Missing 5+ days results in failure.
  • Missed days cannot be made up or replaced.

6) Disqualification & Integrity

MWYMI may disqualify a participant to protect fairness and platform integrity, including for:

  • Backdating, tampering, or attempted system manipulation.
  • Repeated copy/paste content or clearly inauthentic submissions.
  • Harassment, abusive behavior, or violations of platform policies.
  • Chargebacks or payment disputes inconsistent with actual platform use.
Integrity standard: We’re building a trust-based system. If it looks like fraud, we treat it like fraud.

7) Entry Fees, Refunds, and Chargebacks

  • Entry fees are displayed at checkout and are generally non-refundable once the challenge begins.
  • If you are removed/disqualified for integrity violations, entry fees are forfeited.
  • Unauthorized chargebacks may result in account restriction and loss of access.

8) Data & Privacy

  • We process account, payment, and submission data to operate the challenge.
  • We may use aggregated (non-identifying) data to improve the platform.
