Screen-Time Reduction Challenge (30 Days) Rules

These rules exist to keep the challenge fair, measurable, and enforceable. Participation requires daily proof. No backfills. No loopholes. No “my phone glitched.”

Daily Target: ≤ your cap Success Threshold: 27 / 30 days Proof: Screen Time / Digital Wellbeing

1) Overview

The goal is simple: reduce daily screen time and prove it with the built-in tracking on your device. Every day you must stay at or below your personal screen-time cap and submit proof in the MWYMI portal.

Core principle: You are not “trying to use your phone less.” You are building the identity: I control my attention.

2) Your Screen-Time Cap (non-negotiable)

Your cap is the maximum total screen time allowed for the day. For enforcement and simplicity, MWYMI uses one of the cap options below (unless your product page specifies a single cap).

  • Option A (Standard):3h 00m total screen time per day
  • Option B (Hard Mode):2h 00m total screen time per day
  • Option C (Custom Cap): your chosen cap (must be declared on Day 1 and cannot increase)
Enforcement rule: Your cap applies to total daily screen time as shown by iOS Screen Time or Android Digital Wellbeing. If you exceed the cap, that day is a fail.
Choosing a custom cap (if allowed)
If your challenge listing allows a custom cap, you must declare it on Day 1 in your first submission. The cap must be realistic and measurable (e.g., “3h 30m”). You may reduce it later, but you may not increase it.

3) Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to participate.
  • You must have a smartphone that provides daily screen-time tracking.
  • You must maintain access to the MWYMI portal for on-time submissions.
  • Participation may be void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Device requirements
iOS: Screen Time → “See All Activity” (daily total).
Android: Digital Wellbeing → Dashboard (daily total).
Your proof must show the daily total and date context.

4) Daily Requirements

Each day you must complete all of the following:

  • Stay at or below your screen-time cap for that day.
  • Submit a screenshot showing your daily total for the day.
  • Submit same-day inside the MWYMI portal (no backdating).
No backfills. Late submissions do not count — including “I stayed under but forgot to submit.”
What counts as “screen time”
We use the device’s definition of daily screen time. This includes time spent in apps and on the device screen. You cannot “argue” a day into passing. The tracker is the scoreboard.

5) Proof Standards

Your submission must clearly show:

  • Total screen time for the day
  • Date context (today’s day shown in the tracker view, or supporting context if needed)
  • A readable screenshot (no blur, no crop that hides key info)
Accepted proof examples: iOS Screen Time “Day” view showing today’s total; Android Digital Wellbeing daily total screen.
Not accepted: weekly-only views, undated screenshots, cropped totals, “trust me” entries, or screenshots that appear reused.

6) Integrity & Anti-Gaming

This challenge is built to be enforceable. MWYMI may fail/disqualify entries to protect fairness.

  • No reused screenshots across different days.
  • No editing/doctoring images.
  • No “time zone excuses” or manipulated date contexts.
  • No “I used another device” if it’s not captured by your daily total.
Common loopholes that will be rejected
Changing time/date settings; submitting a screenshot from a different day; hiding totals via cropping; “airplane mode” claims; or any behavior that indicates you are trying to win the system instead of building discipline.
Integrity standard: If it looks like fraud, it gets treated like fraud.

7) Completion Threshold

  • You must pass at least 27 of 30 days.
  • Missing 3+ days results in failure.
  • Failed days cannot be replaced and cannot be “made up.”
This is beginner-friendly, not consequence-free. You’re building the identity: I set limits. I respect them. I finish.

8) Disqualification

MWYMI may disqualify a participant to protect platform integrity, including for:

  • Backdating, tampering, or attempted manipulation.
  • Proof reuse or patterns indicating dishonesty.
  • Harassment, abusive behavior, or policy violations.
  • Chargebacks or payment disputes inconsistent with actual platform use.

9) Entry Fees, Refunds, and Chargebacks

  • Entry fees are shown at checkout and are generally non-refundable once the challenge begins.
  • If removed/disqualified for integrity violations, entry fees are forfeited.
  • Unauthorized chargebacks may result in account restriction and loss of access.

Keep this consistent with your official Refund Policy and Terms of Service.

10) Data & Privacy

  • We process account, payment, and submission data to operate the challenge.
  • We may use aggregated (non-identifying) data to improve the platform.
  • For details, review our Privacy Policy.
